Tennessee Turfgrass Weeds

The University of Tennessee Turfgrass Weed Science Team conducts hundreds of research trials each year evaluating experimental and commercially available herbicides for control of grassy and broadleaf weeds, as well as sedge and kyllinga species. We study the efficacy of these herbicides for weed control as well as their environmental fate. A major focus of our research efforts is the use of integrated pest management strategies to reduce the volume of herbicide required to provide effective weed control.
