It is hard to believe that another exciting year has passed and it is once again time to review the highlights of 2011. We’ve seen some interesting developments in the SharePoint area with strong accent on Cloud (Microsoft Office 365), Social Networks, Virtualization and Branding.

We’ve seen a spike in SharePoint 2010 adoption, at least for the public facing websites. During 2011 we’ve added in our showcase more than 200 websites based on SharePoint 2010.

We’ve managed to double the traffic on TopSharePoint.com in 2011, thanks to an increased number of people interesting in customizing SharePoint sites look and feel .

We’ve added over 400 SharePoint-based websites in 2011 bringing the number of SharePoint sites in our showcase well over 1,800.

The sites listed below are ranked based on the number of votes received from the visitors during 2011.
