Port Mann Highway 1

Part of the provincial Gateway Program, the Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project (PMH1 Project) is designed to address growing regional congestion by improving the movement of people, goods and transit throughout Greater Vancouver. The Project reflects the need for a balance of transit, road and bridge improvements to keep traffic moving, our economy strong and our region liveable. As part of this balanced approach, the Province is investing in new rapid transit projects as well as improved roads and bridges. The PMH1 Project also includes improvements to drainage, habitat areas and other green space to support environmental sustainability.
