InnovationWorks (IW) is West Michigan’s recognized expert in connecting companies to ideas, methods and resources to promote regional innovation and job growth. Serving an eight-county region (Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo and Ottawa), IW provides an integrated system of resources designed to help people mine for inventions and new technologies, connect companies to ideas and coach individuals on commercialization. The initiative will expand innovation competency in West Michigan resulting in new jobs and increased prosperity for the region. IW is an initiative developed and implemented by The Right Place, Inc. in collaboration with its economic development partners throughout West Michigan.
