Finland Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. There are 15 Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment that started operating on January 1st, 2010. The tasks of the Centres comprise those of the former Employment and Economic Centres, Road Districts, Regional Environmental Centres and State Provincial Offices. The Centres operate in close collaboration with the Regional Councils.
