Coelba

The State Electricity Company of Bahia is the third largest electricity distributor in the Brazil in terms of number of customers and the sixth in terms of volume of energy supplied. In the same terms, it occupies the first position among the concessionaires of the North/Northeast. Controlled by the Neoenergia Group, one of the largest investors in the Brazilian electricity sector, Coelba is present in 415 of the 417 municipalities of Bahia, serving more than 14 million inhabitants in a concession area of 563 thousand km2. Today, the company has more than 5.8 million customers, 88% of which are residential customers.
